System Options
The System Options area of the Options dialog lets the user define system preferences.
| Setting | Description |

| Save Options Profile | Displays the Save System Options Profile As dialog, which enables you to save the current settings to an external .xml file. |
| Part Number Settings | Determines how parts database records are grouped in the Insert Symbol By Part Number dialog, and determines how record updates are handled. |
| Symbol Text Sharing | Specifies the attribute values that are shared for symbols which share the same device ID. |
| Command Protection | Restrict access to Promis.e functions. |
| Life Cycle Manager Settings | The Life Cycle Manager Settings let you configure settings for Work Orders and Custom text attributes. |
| BOM Manager Settings | The settings in this tabbed page are responsible for how work order information imported from SAP is handled in Substation for creating BOM reports which can be imported back into SAP. |
